At FiTU aka Fishing Tungsten Ltd, we’re always aiming to combine clean, modern design with real-world lure fishing performance not only in Tungsten Tackle and Tungsten weights but across all Lure Fishing needs. Our latest project, a Craw Bait, is no exception.

We’re currently deep in development on our first-ever soft plastic craw, working closely with Swiss lure designer Jean Marie to create something that hits all the right notes for both active and finesse styles of fishing.
From the outset, the goal was to develop a compact, 2.8" Craw that isn’t just visually striking, but actually versatile enough to suit a wide range of rigs, from Tungsten Round & NED Heads, over Texas, Cheb Head (Cheb Weight) and Jika Rigs, all the way to real finesse Rigs such as the Carolina, Free Rig and Drop Shot. Equally we want to make sure this craw creates the right FLAPP action for people who'd like to use it as chatter bait trailers or similar.
Think of it as a "do-it-all" Craw for the modern lure angler.

Fishing Tungsten Ltd develops a Craw Bait!
The process has been a blend of sketching, CAD modelling, testing, and refining. We’re now soon heading into the field with our V2 prototype, having made adjustments from V1 to things like feeler length, leg angles, claw thickness and plastic softness. The material plays a key role: it has to hold a hook well, flex naturally, and balance between subtle and aggressive movement depending on the setup.

The design is being tailored to perform across a wide range of freshwater and saltwater situations. Primary targets are Perch, Chub, and Wrasse, but at Fishing Tungsten Ltd we’ve got LMB (Large Mouth Bass aka Black Bass), Seabass and Zander in mind too.
We're aiming for a bait that excels in clear water and pressured venues, while still offering a bold enough profile to be picked up in murkier or moving water.

This is still very much a work in progress, but we’re excited about where it’s going. It's not just about creating another Craw, it’s about refining a tool that serious anglers can rely on, whether they fish urban canals, rocky shorelines, or slow-moving rivers.
We’ll be sharing more updates as the project develops, and eventually opening it up for field testing. Watch this space for the Fishing Tungsten Craw Bait!
Tight Lines,
Momo
